I actually made this recipe with Reese's pieces candy instead of the chocolate chips. They were way yummy. Plus my husband prefers them with Reese's Pieces since he is a Reese's fan. Remember to not cook longer than 10 minutes or they will be overcooked. Also make sure to leave them on the cookie sheet for 7 minutes or they will be undercooked. They taste great with different candies.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup Sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 package chocolate chips
Directions:
Mix sugars, butter, and egg in a large bowl. Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in Chocolate chips. Drop dough by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. No more than 10 minutes. Cookies will look soft. Leave on cookie sheet for 7 minutes.

I absolutely love your pics of the recipes....so professional. Love it. I have to try these cookies out. I'm not good at cookies...but you gave good tips about time and such so maybe it is Amy proof:)
so I'm in the process of making these cookies. My first batch turned out yummy...but they don't look lumpy and plump with the professional cracking. They are a bit flatter. What am I doing wrong? Measuring the flour is difficult for me, but I know I put enough. Well, this next batch, the dough came from the fridge and I made smaller balls. But they are extremely tasty. Parker and I enjoyed making them and eating them.
Here's my personal little trick. Rather than doing the spoonful drops onto cookie sheet I will roll them in my hands and make little balls. This gives them the perfect circle and I think leaves them looking a little plumper. I hope this helps.
