You know it, you love it, and now, you can make it for your very own family! The beloved pot roast in a crock pot! Here's what you do:
Ingredients:
1 large or 2 medium white onions, cubed
1-2 bags of baby carrots or 5 whole carrots cut in 2 inch logs
4 Russet potatoes, cubed
4-5 lbs. Beef Chuck Roast
Worchestire Sauce
Garlic Powder
Garlic Salt
Black Pepper
Directions:
Layer the bottom of your crock pot with enough water to just cover the bottom of the pot. Lay your onions scattered along the bottom. Sprinkle 1 tsp. each of garlic powder, garlic salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle worchestire sauce over the onions. Place layer of carrots next, followed by the pot roast, and then place the potatoes around the pot roast. Sprinkle another 1 tsp. of garlic powder and garlic salt over the top of the roast, and top with more worchestire sauce.
Let cook for 8-10 hours on low, or 4-6 hours on high.
Enjoy!
The title comes from when I was a little girl. We would invite missionaries, well anyone to our house and my Mom would always say there is plenty of food, so if you go hungry it's your own fault. Basically; it made me smile typing it in, so here it is. If you happen across this blog and would like to add a recipe please post it in a comment.

Spanish Noodles
This is a family favorite that I am guaranteed my boys will go back for at LEAST seconds for. This is just the BASIC recipe a lot more could be added.
Ingredients:
1lb hamburger
1 can corn
Noodles to serve 6
Tomato juice
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Directions:
Brown the hamburger. Boil water to cook the noodles to al dente (just before tender). I prefer egg noodles but as you can see elbow noodles work well too. When the noodles are done drain off the water. Return the noodles to the pan and add in the drained can of whole corn, the browned hamburger, enough tomato juice to wet it all and the salt and pepper. Mix and warm on the stove. Serves 6.

Lasanga
Ingredients:
9 lasagna noodles
1lb ground beef
1 and 1/2 pints Spaghetti Sauce
1 (15oz) container ricotta cheese
1/3 c grated Parmesan cheese
1lb grated mozzarella cheese- separate 1/2c
2 beaten eggs
Directions:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add the lasagna noodles cook them until al dente (8-10 minutes)
Brown ground beef over medium heat and drain off fat. Add spaghetti sauce to that. If you don't have my fabulous home made spaghetti sauce you can use any bottled spaghetti sauce or you can use
Ladle enough of the meat sauce into a 9x13 inch baking dish to cover the bottom in a thin layer. Form a layer atop the sauce with 3 of the lasagna noodles. Spread about 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles. Then ladle about 1/2 of the meat sauce over the ricotta cheese. Repeat layering once more. Top with the last 3 noodles and enough meat sauce to keep from drying out. Sprinkle on the remaining 1/2 c of mozzarella cheese.
Bake in a preheated oven (350 degrees F) for 90 minutes and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Oh this can be prepared before hand and frozen (good for 30 days frozen).

OK here is another recipe that I am copying it comes from my cousin. We were at her house a couple weeks ago and she made this. It was very delicious. I have no tips however since I have not made this but it was posted on her blog and I am hoping that she will join this blog. I will just copy and paste what she wrote and her pictures below.

I know totally tasty looking huh? Ok this is mostly for my cousin who asked for the recipe like a month ago and I keep forgetting. But it's also because the boys and I have nothing to do today (dang even the laundry is done thus I have time). So she has my written permission to steal this blog (pictures included) for her cooking blog- along with any other recipes I may post.
This started out as a Campbell's soup recipe. I've since added to it and changed things.
Start by frying about 1lb of beef. I like rump roast the best. Though we've tried and liked other beefs, stewing beef, and some steaks (top sirloin comes to mind).
Fry it in a little (like 1T) oil until browned.
Add 1 can Tomato soup (the small one I think it's 10ozs)
about 3T of Soy Sauce
1T of vinegar (I like the flavor of Apple Cider Vinegar, but white will work too)
2T Worcestershire Sauce
1T garlic powder
1t crushed red peppers
Salt and pepper to taste
I also usually add a dash of Chili Powder
Simmer that like 10 minutes and then add about 3 cups of broccoli. I usually use frozen so if you add fresh then add about 1c of water.
Simmer that until the broccoli is done (done can be anything from slightly tender to mushy to totally your preference)
Serve over hot rice and viola dinner! 30 minutes from nothing to done can't beat that, and hey you don't have to take my word that it's good.

The boys were totally impressed too. My son (try to imagine this in a little boy voice) kept asking for more "beef and bocci"

David's Favorite Burritos
These are my husbands favorite burritos and they are quick and easy to prepare so we have them a lot.
2 lbs ground beef
1 can refried beans
Pepper to taste
Brown the ground beef and drain off the grease. Mix in the refried beans and the pepper. I usually use about 3 tablespoons of pepper, but you can use more or less according to your personal preference.
Warm one tortilla shell on a skillet or griddle. Spread grated cheese on the tortilla like you would if you were going to make a quesadilla. Spoon some of your meat/bean mix on top of the cheese in the middle of the tortilla in a line. Top with sour cream, salsa and any other topping you wish (or omit the toppings). When the tortilla starts to bubble, wrap the edges over your toppings. The tortilla will be hot and crispy.
You can store the unused portion of the meat/bean mix in the refridgerator for about a week. You can also use taco seasoning in place of the pepper, or opt for a soft shell by only warming the tortilla on the skillet instead of letting it crisp up.

Taco Soup
This is a meal that is easy to make and very quick. I love to make this especially during the winter but will make it all year long. Plus the chips and cheese make a instant kid favorite. The best part is that it can be made all in the same pot or started early and made in the crock pot. You will have to cook the meat though before adding it to the pot if you use the crock pot. Then cook on high for 6-8 hours on low for 8-10 hours. Some people will substitute the canned diced tomatoes with only tomato sauce or will use tomato juice. Also this Freezes great and makes a ton.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground hamburger
1 small onion diced
2Tbs minced garlic
1 can tomato sauce
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans pinto beans
2 cans black beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can corn (optional)
2 packets taco seasoning
sour cream
shredded cheddar cheese
2 bags Frito's or tortilla chips
shredded lettuce(optional)
Directions:
In a large pot brown hamburger on stove. Add half onion to hamburger, cook until onion is clear. Next add canned beans and tomatoes(corn if you like). Add taco seasoning. Allow to cook for at least 1/2 hour on medium high. Then add the other half onion and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. When ready to serve top with sour cream, cheese, and chips. Enjoy!

Crockpot Enchiladas
I found this on the Yummy Food 4 All recipe Blog, posted by Nora's World. It was very tasty and we tried it in the Crock Pot. But instead of the 5-7 hours on low we did 3 hours on high while we were at church. It was perfect. Since we get out of church at 5 pm we were able to come home and eat right away. The other nice thing is with the crock pot Liners that we have it is very little clean up as well. Oh and we didn't have chili powder and cumin so we substituted those ingredients with 2 tsp of Taco Seasoning and we didn't add the salt and pepper either. Oh and we didn't have diced tomatoes with green chilies but we did have a can of green chilies and a can of diced tomatoes and so we used that instead. It was very yummy. Definitely something worth trying if you are looking for an easy crock pot meal. Below is the directions that I copy and pasted from Yummy food 4 All blog. She has a picture there. So if you would like to see how this looks click on the link below to get to this recipe.
http://yummyfood4all.blogspot.com/2008/05/crockpot-enchiladas-although-i-have.html
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
1 can pinto or kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar and jack)
flour tortillas
Directions:
In a skillet, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. Add the next eight ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Now there is some debate as to assembly...
There is the slow cooker way:
In a 5-qt. slow cooker, layer about 3/4 cup beef mixture, one tortilla and about 1/3 cup cheese. Repeat layers. Cover and cook on low for 5-7 hours or until heated through.
Nora's World in-laws way:
On a microwave safe plate, layer 3/4 C beef mixture, one tortilla and 1/2 C cheese. Repeat layers. Heat in the microwave for about 5 minutes until the cheese melts. Cut into wedges and serve.
Nora's World preferred method:
Layer ingredients in a round casserole dish (beef, tortilla, cheese, repeat). bake in a 350 degree oven 20 minutes or until heated through.
Nora's world found this at Sam's Club "I got a case (8 cans) of diced tomatoes with green chilies for $2. Nice."
